- You may need to fuss with your script. Make sure it is the same as other
- successful users on your ISP are using -- check with their support people,
- or your local support news group. Often a leading <CR> or some other
- such thing is needed.

- I have heard that bringing up those screens in itself can interfer with
- the process. One thing you may want to do is tell Win95 to create a
- log file (I think its on one of the Advanced dialog screens) and then
- look at that file to see what is happening during logon.
-
- One screen that came up on my system was a terminal screen, but
- it had a checkbox to "Allow keyboard input"...that did let me manually
- enter commands. However, I no longer use Win95 Scripter, so my
- memory is foggy on that. I use RoboDun instead.

- Hyperterm is a bit confusing when you just want to set it up for use as a terminal
- to talk directly to your modem (AT commands), not dial out. The trick is to select
- "Direct to Com Port" rather than a your modem on the Hyperterm setup screens.
- I saved that session as "Hyperterm Terminal Screen", and use it all of the time
- to send init strings and other cmds to my modem.

-
- That's right -- since hyperterm doesn't do PPP, your ISP will bail out on you
- when you try to log on with hyperterm.
-
- Take a look at my modem page for some help, and links to other resources.
